The Alberta New Home Warranty Program, incorporated in 1974, was the first new home warranty program in Canada. Throughout nearly two decades of operation, The Alberta New Home Warranty Program has provided purchasers with new home buying protection:
  * Payment indemnity
  * Builder performance indemnity
  * Warranty

Protection of the new home buyer begins when you pay your initial deposit with your Registered Member Builder, and continues for a standard period of five years after the possession of your new home.
Additional protection can be purchased by home buyers to extend this period for another five years.
